I showed up.
I asked good questions.
I even hosted events.
But after a year?
A lot of friendly chats.
Zero traction.
I didn’t want to be sleazy. I'm not that kind of 'numbers' guy.
But being warm and well-liked wasn’t moving anything forward.
Then I learned there are three kinds of networking:
Transactional — strategic, but selfish & sleazy
Aimless — authentic, but ineffective
Intentional — strategic AND authentic
Most introverts avoid the first.
We fall into the second.
And never learn about the third.
Intentional is strategic && authentic.
Intentional is building alignment — not just being seen.
Intentional is how I stopped floating and started building.
Build community. Without breaking yourself.
We all start as strangers.
Curious what "intentional" actually looks like?
